The SDANG’s annual Stitch In coming in August, 2012, is proud to host guest teacher Kay Stanis with her lovely project, Initial Illumination. 
The Initial Illumination project is stitched on Congress cloth using silks and metallics. It incorporates techniques such as couching, blackwork, waffle stitch and handmade cording. This lovely piece can be used as a pillow accent, cell phone case, eyeglass case or for whatever other use your creativity suggests.
